5th Seminar UniGR-CBS - "Spatial Planning Cultures in Border Areas - Challenges and Prospects" 27 & 28 February 2020
The next UniGR-CBS seminar "Spatial Planning Cultures in Border Areas - Challenges and Prospects" will take place the 27th and 28th February 2020 in Kaiserslautern.
Spatial planning generally stops at national and administrative borders. However, instruments such as financial or legal incentives from the European Union promote cooperation across national borders. Currently, in some cross-border regions, such as the Great Region, territorial development strategies are being developed. The joint preparation and implementation of cross-border planning poses many challenges. In order to better understand the reasons for this, the Spatial Planning Working Group of the UniGR-CBS has been working for several years on planning cultures in the Greater Region Saar-Lor-Lux+. The seminar will present the first results of the working group and contribute to the anchoring of planning cultures in the interdisciplinary context of border studies.
