Climate adaptation is a major challenge for regions across the globe, including the Greater Region. But how can this adaptation process be managed within a space defined by national borders and various political systems? What role do coordination, cooperation, and commun strategies play? How can actors from different levels collaborate to address specific climate risks like flooding, drought or forest fires?

These questions will be addressed at the 11th UniGR-CBS Greater Region Forum on the cross-border dimension of climate change adaptation. This event will take place on 5 November 2025 at the Arlon Campus Environnement. The Forum is organised by the Department of Geography at the University of Liège, who is a member of the UniGR-CBS.

The UniGR-CBS series Forum Greater Region provides a platform for the exchange of ideas between researchers, policymakers, administrative authorities, businesses, and civil society. Participants will reflect on existing adaptation strategies, identify the potential of cross-border cooperation and explore new approaches. The aim is to transcend sectoral and territorial boundaries to develop new perspectives for a climate-resilient Greater Region.
