Call for Papers: Commerce et frontières
The connection between retail and space is subject of numerous multidisciplinary studies that focus on the deployment of the commercial offer in space (organization of distribution channels, logistics, geomarketing) as well as on consumer purchasing travel behaviours (selection of shopping locations, optimization of travel time in the purchasing process). But as soon as a border is involved, the forms of retail organization and purchasing travel practices are disrupted.
At the intersection of various disciplines (geography, management, sociology), the conference “Commerce et frontières : Enjeux théoriques et méthodologiques” aims to shed light on the extent to which the border is taken into account in the study of retail practices of traders, consumers or actors.
The conference will be held online on April 1, 2021.
