Education in the Greater Region: realities and challenges

In line with the 2nd edition, which discusses the challenges of the labour market, the subject of this 3rd edition of the Cahiers de la Grande Région, edited by Isabelle Pigeron-Piroth (University of Luxembourg) and Rachid Belkacem (Université de Lorraine), is the education in its several forms (professional training, apprenticeship, etc.), its realities and its challenges. At a time of demographic decline and digital transition, but also of health crisis, this issue is central. The challenges are not only related to the difficult interaction between the needs of employers and the interests of individuals, but also to the specificities of the cross-border situation (language issues, recognition of qualifications, etc.).

The third edition brings together the work of various institutions in the Greater Region and shows the problems in the field of training that need to be solved in the coming years.
