Date de début

The COVID-19 pandemic and the measures taken have changed abruptly the way people live together. In the European border regions, the consequences are becoming apparent with border crossings being closed, border controls reinforced and entry significantly restricted in March 2020.

The roundtable discussion focuses on the experience of closed borders in the Greater Region and aims to discuss it critically in retrospect and productively with a view to the future. Therefore, everyday life realities and protest initiatives will be discussed, border management and political (interregional) concertation processes up to the question of the future of cross-border cooperation with or after COVID-19.

Roundtable as part of the interregional conference series "Border Realities: Challenges and Perspectives in Uncertain Times".
